A tidy frame sells the listing

Buyers and renters scroll through dozens of listings. Scattered items, moving boxes, personal photos on shelves, and bags in the corner lower trust before they even check the price. Real estate photo cleanup with LaMa lets you quickly "tidy up" the interior in the frame without physically staging every square foot.

What to remove

  • Clothes, toys, stacks of papers on nightstands and sofas.
  • Boxes, building materials, trash bags.
  • Personal photos, documents, small items that identify residents.
  • Stray charger cables and extension cords in plain sight.

What not to tackle all at once

Large furniture, windows with complex reflections, and entire patterned walls are tricky for one huge mask. Remove local items; if you need to "clear" half a room, do it in several passes.

For realtors and owners

The service saves time on photo shoot prep: you can shoot the property "as is" and remove the excess in the browser before publishing on OLX, DIM.RIA, Rieltor, and other platforms. Pair it with good lighting and a level horizon. AI doesn't replace composition, but it does remove visual noise.

Frequently asked questions

Does it replace full virtual staging?
Partly: the service removes clutter, boxes, personal items and trash from the frame, but it does not place new furniture or change the interior style. For full staging after cleanup, you can use separate interior generators.
A shadow from the box is still on the floor, what should I do?
Include the shadow in the mask or do a second pass just on the shadow using the "Trash / box" scenario. LaMa blends the floor better when it sees both the object and its shadow as a single task.
Is it safe to upload photos of an apartment?
Processing is done for your request on the filltools.com server; the file is not published to other users as a gallery. At the same time, do not upload close-ups of documents with personal data unless necessary. There are separate anonymization tools for that.
Does it work for exteriors (trash near the entrance)?
Yes, the same process: paint over the object against the asphalt or lawn background and run LaMa. Large containers are better shot in segments; small trash works with the "Trash / box" scenario.
Which image formats are supported?
PNG, JPEG, WebP and other formats that the browser can open are accepted as input (usually BMP and GIF as well). The result is always saved as PNG to avoid repeated JPEG compression after retouching and to preserve edges after inpainting without extra compression artifacts.
Where is my image processed and is it stored?
You draw the mask locally in the browser. Inpainting (the LaMa neural network or classic OpenCV) runs on the filltools.com server only to process your request. The file is not published in a gallery and is not intended to be shown to other users after the session ends; do not upload unnecessary personal data unless needed.
How should I draw the mask so the result is cleaner?
Cover the target completely, with a small margin along the edge (1 to 3 pixels), especially if there is a semi-transparent halo. Several precise passes are better than one huge mask. Be sure to use zoom for small details; the "Hand" tool (H) pans the frame, and the B/E keys switch between brush and eraser. Remove items one at a time, as this restores the texture of the floor and shelves more reliably.
Can I undo a mistaken step?
Yes. The "Undo" and "Redo" buttons keep a history of the mask and results (roughly up to 20 steps in the current browser session). "Reset mask" clears only the red markings on the canvas; "Reset" fully returns the tool to a state with no uploaded image.
