Product Photo Cleanup for Marketplaces (AI LaMa)

Remove mannequins, stands, hangers, clips, price tags and stray wires from product shots. What's left is the product and a clean background for Amazon, Prom, OLX and other platforms.

Product photo cleanup
Preset

Cover the stand or the visible part of the mannequin completely. It is better to shoot the support separately from the product itself.

Drag a product photo here

Paint over the stand, price tag, or wire and click "Clean". LaMa will restore the background under the product.

Instructions

  • Upload a product photo (clothing, electronics, accessories, etc.).
  • Choose a scenario: stand/mannequin, price tag, or thin hanger/wire.
  • Paint over only what's extra. The product must stay outside the mask.
  • Click "Clean" and check the product edge at zoom.
  • Save the PNG for uploading to the marketplace.

Product shots without the technical clutter

On Amazon, Prom, OLX, Rozetka and other marketplaces, clean images win: the product in focus, without mannequins, stands, clips, fishing line, price tags or power cords. Studio retouching is expensive; this service gives you a fast AI loop of paint over it and it's gone, powered by LaMa.

What sellers remove most often

  • Stands, holders, invisible threads and clips for clothing and accessories.
  • Fragments of a mannequin or mounting that peek out from under the item.
  • Price tags, warehouse stickers, barcodes on packaging (if you don't need them in the listing).
  • Stray cables, shipping labels, tripod reflections on a white background.

Workflow for product cards

  1. Clean up one main angle (hero shot).
  2. Repeat for the gallery: details, back side, in use.
  3. Check the product edge at zoom. The mask shouldn't eat into the silhouette.
  4. Export as PNG; convert to JPEG if the platform requires it.

Tips

Don't mask the product itself just to be safe. A narrow, precise mask and a second pass work better than a blurred product edge. On a white background, LaMa usually blends the backdrop very cleanly; on textured fabric, work in smaller areas.

Frequently asked questions

Is it suitable for Amazon, Prom, OLX and other marketplaces?
Yes, as a product-shot preparation step: remove stands, clips, price tags, wires. After cleaning, also follow the specific marketplace rules for background, file size, watermarks and retouching.
The mannequin is only partially visible, how do I mask it?
Paint over only the visible parts (neck, arms, mounts). Do not cover the product itself. The "Stand / mannequin" scenario uses a wider brush; check the product edge at zoom after each pass.
Can I keep the brand on the product tag?
Yes, just don't include the tag in the mask. Paint only what should disappear (warehouse price tag, fishing line, clip). The service does not distinguish a "brand" automatically, the decision is yours.
The white background looks blotchy after cleaning
Repeat with a slightly wider mask over the blotch or use the "Stand" scenario. For tiny specks you can try quick OpenCV. Avoid masking the product silhouette itself "just in case".
Which image formats are supported?
PNG, JPEG, WebP and other formats that the browser can open are accepted as input (usually BMP and GIF too). The result is always saved as PNG to avoid repeated JPEG compression after retouching and to preserve edges after inpainting without extra compression artifacts.
Where is my image processed and is it stored?
You draw the mask locally in the browser. Inpainting (the LaMa neural network or classic OpenCV) runs on the filltools.com server only to process your request. The file is not published in the gallery and is not intended to be shown to other users after the session ends; do not upload unnecessary personal data without need.
How is LaMa different from blurring or an "eraser"?
Blurring and pixelation only hide the area with a gray or pixelated patch. LaMa (Large Mask Inpainting) analyzes neighboring pixels and synthesizes a plausible background (sky, wall, fabric, paper) so that the edge looks more natural. For small edits, quick OpenCV Telea or Navier-Stokes in the method list is sometimes enough.
Can I undo a mistaken step?
Yes. The "Undo" and "Redo" buttons keep a history of the mask and results (roughly up to 20 steps in the current browser session). "Reset mask" clears only the red markings on the canvas; "Reset" fully returns the tool to the state with no uploaded image.
